A: No. As long as you have access to get onto Fort Cavazos, you can shop at our store.
Q: What are your Consignment Policies?
A: Basically, you must have a valid military-issued ID to consign items. They should be gently used (resellable condition free of stains and damage). The seller keeps 65% of the sales price. Please note that consignment accounts are limited to 15 items per week per account- one account per household. Q: When are your sales?
A: We have sales all the time, as we rotate specials depending on inventory and season. Our Facebook page is updated daily with inventory and sale information.
Q: When does the Thrift Shop give out Grant Funds and how do I apply?
A: Cavazos Community Thrift Shop gives out Grants to Community Service Organizations twice a year. Please see our Downloads Section for more information and an application or E-mail: fhthriftshop@ymail.com.
Q: Why are some of the items so expensive?
A: The Fort Hood Area Thrift Shop is a consignment shop as well as a thrift shop. Consignors are allowed to set their own prices for items.
Q: What happens if what I purchased is broken or does not work?
A: Cavazos Community Thrift Shop has a strict “No Returns” policy that we clearly post at the register. If the item is electronic, we allow the customer to purchase with cash, and a 24-hour hold is offered, allowing the customer to get a refund if the non-working item is brought back within 24 hrs or 1 working day.
Q: How can I apply for a job at the Thrift Shop?
A: When we have job openings, we will post the position and job flyer on our Facebook page, so be sure to “Like Us” on Facebook! Applicants may download an employment application from our Downloads Section, fill it out and drop it off or mail it to us prior to the closing date in order to be considered. When we have an opening, you may also direct questions to fhthriftshop@ymail.com regarding the position.
